Exactly. They are saying we have to really start to win the battle of young minds to get them into science and math education so that we can compete and innovate in this new global economy. This just takes us backwards. The statistics are alarming. Studies have shown that financial barriers alone prevent 4\1/2\ million high school students from attending a 4-year public university.
