Over the last 5 years, as if the debt were not bad enough, tuition is up 57 percent at public colleges, up 32 percent at private colleges and universities, and 41 percent of college grads average over $3,000 in credit card debt. So, again, the statistics paint a very clear picture that this is not the way to go.
