I am often asked if we can do anything here this year in a bipartisan way to solve the obvious problems that our country faces. This is an issue on which the Senate has taken a definitive position 57 to 42. Senator McCain said yesterday, what could be more simple. What could be more fair, honest, and straightforward? I cannot say it any better than that. This is a moment in which Democrats and Republicans can come together to pass an end to the secret organizations with undisclosed money. Vote yes for the motion to recommit. Let us get something done for the American people in this Congress.
