Over the past 24 hours, intense storms have created dangerous flash flooding across several regions of Missouri, resulting in multiple swift-water rescues.

The World Cup brought the world to Kansas City, providing an unprecedented opportunity to showcase Missouri as an incredible state to visit, live, work, and invest.

As recovery efforts continue and additional rain is expected, I urge everyone in flood-prone and low-lying areas to stay weather-aware, have multiple ways of receiving alerts, and be ready to take protective action.
