The fact is, and again I respect those that bring the green eye shade approach here, keeping in mind, of course, that the Congressional Budget Office and Joint Tax do not take into account the economic benefits that are going to happen from small businesses being able to invest. But even assuming the numbers, we have on-budget surpluses; in the most recent numbers, on-budget surpluses in the year that this permanent tax cut kicks in. If we really want to talk about numbers, the fact is that if we do nothing, nearly 4 million people that are now off the tax rolls are going to be put back on them, and 3 million of those are families with kids. So I would urge that we vote in favor of this measure.
