I have made it in the history books. I am the first ever victim of the line item veto. I just thought history would taste a little sweeter than this. I certainly support H.R. 2513, the new and improved version. I know that there are colleagues of mine that will be speaking to the subpart F, and in support. So what I want to do is focus primarily on the farmer cooperative provision. I would be remiss unless I provided kudos to the gentleman from Texas [Mr. Stenholm], who coauthored this provision with me. I am happy to have worked with the gentleman from Texas [Mr. Stenholm] in trying to resurrect this provision. I think we have a good provision. As the gentleman pointed out, this was part of the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997.
