The amendment is as follows: (Purpose: To prohibit the use of funds for providing grants, funding, or any financial benefit to Chinese entities) At the appropriate place, insert the following: SEC. ___. PROHIBITION ON USE OF FUNDS FOR PROVIDING GRANTS, FUNDING, OR ANY FINANCIAL BENEFIT TO CHINESE ENTITIES. (a) In General.--None of the funds appropriated or otherwise made available by this Act may be used to provide grants, funding, or any financial benefit to any entity, including any corporation, that-- (1) is organized under the laws of, is headquartered in, or has its principal place of business in the People's Republic of China, including any Special Administrative Region; or (2) is subject to the control (as defined in section 800.208 of title 31, Code of Federal Regulations (as in effect on the date of enactment of this Act)) of an entity described in paragraph (1).…
