“Madam President, this is a good moment for the Senate. I think this is a moment when we have been able to come together to speak with one voice and to send a clear message to Beijing that its attempts to steamroll and destroy the liberties of the people of Hong Kong will not go unnoticed and will not go unaddressed. I thank the Senator from Maryland and the Senator from Pennsylvania for their work with their bill, which will give the administration important new tools to address and to counter the actions of Beijing.
