SECTION 6 (b). Any person who, in order to perform active service with the military or naval forces of the United States, has left a position in any department or agency (other than a temporary position) which is covered into the classified civil service under section 1 of this order, may, upon his application and upon the request of the head of the same or any other department or agency, be reinstated in any position for which the Commission finds he is qualified, and upon reinstatement shall acquire a classified civil-service status.
