On the recordJuly 16, 2025
we are on the precipice in this Chamber right now to do something that is rarely done in this town, which is to identify waste, fraud, and abuse and actually do something about it. This is a rare thing. It is an important thing. It is about the $9 billion we are going to save or $90 billion in the 10-year window. And where I come from, that is still a lot of money. That is a lot of money. But it is more than just that. It is about restoring trust with the American people. When the American people see dollars going to DEI trainings in Burma or sex changes in Guatemala, they wonder what in the world is going on around here. Tonight, we can say: We hear you; we know why you sent us here; and we are going to do something about it. With that, I urge my colleagues to vote yes. Vote on Amendment No. 2853
