The joy, I think, now is generated by the fact that the people won this battle.

We just received a healthy dose of encouragement that the voice of people in the United States still matters.

Right here in the middle of the country in the sometimes-cold Midwest, where people became so upset that they did what one can do only in a democracy, and they went out and organized.

If I have to serve the people who live just outside of Columbia and Jefferson City, then I’ll do that.
