I was glad to see that we had 61 Members of Congress, including almost half of this committee agree that your action to end the temporary suspension of contributions to Fannie and Freddie to the Housing Trust Fund was the right thing to do.
Our Government is a democratic government and it is undergirded by a Constitution and the people have every right to believe that the Government is there to protect the general welfare.
People have a right to believe that they will be dealt with justly and fairly by the state.
Well-functioning credit markets are the essential component of economic prosperity.
Including alternative data such as utility, telecom, and rent helps consumers, lenders, and small businesses and the economy.
I just want to say that I hope and pray that the people who have complaints get them fully and fairly adjudicated.
I am deeply proud of the creation of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
We are here to vindicate American Banker and the financial services industry in their attempt to make the CFPB look hypocritical.
