I appreciate this bill. I think it is certainly unfortunate that we had to get to this point that the Executive Branch has been dragging its feet but the purposes of the original law and what is being done today are excellent.

I agree with Ranking Member Van Duyne. I think this hearing is a little bit offtrack.
The policies that the Democrat party is talking about are top-down Washington, D.C. policies that are going to pick winners and losers in the energy sectors.
Having access to the internet and broadband services like this is just a basic infrastructure issue.
I think if we want to continue to preserve rural America and our rural way of life, this is something that we have to tackle.
