That is money that they get to keep, and sometimes people misunderstand. They confuse credits with deductions. We are talking about $1,500 more that this family will have in their checkbooks to spend as they see fit rather than having that money being sent to Washington to be spent by Members of Congress and bureaucrats as they see fit.
