On the recordApril 19, 1994
Right. Today at noon we got an 800-page chairman's mark, which is not the President's bill, it is not any of the other bills that have been introduced. But it comes on our desk and says, ``Here is 800 pages. Why don't you read it, and on Thursday we will start marking it up.'' It would be very interesting to see--we talk about wellness programs, and that is something that has worked very well in west Michigan--but what other programs are there around the country in small and medium- size businesses that we have not heard about or are not included in any of these marks? Mr. Speaker, as my colleagues know, I think about what we have to do on Thursday. I have to propose an amendment to this chairman's mark allowing for wellness programs. Right now there is no allowance for a wellness program within the corporate structure or the Government program and so on.
