Going back to the Tale of Two Visions, we all know how complex our Tax Code is. It is so complex that the IRS has spent in the neighborhood of $8 billion trying to design and automate and computerize the system. They now acknowledge that $4 billion of this will never be able to be used. When you talk about a two-wage-earner family, that is 2 million families where the second wage earner paid $2,000 to the Federal Government and did not get one dime of value. Two million families where the second wage earner paid $2,000 in taxes and the Government threw it away, because our Tax Code is too complex. That is why 2 million men or women went to work for a year and got absolutely no value. That is waste, that is wrong, and that is what is killing America's families today.
