“The company I used to work for, it was always the fifth year of our annual plan, we would be a billion-dollar company. They finally reached it a couple of years after I left there. But a billion-dollar company makes the Fortune 500 list. There are probably about 270, 280 on the Fortune 500 list. A billion-dollar company employs, at least in the industry that I was in, employs somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 to 6, 7,000 people, not counting the people who distributed the products, not counting the people who supplied to our company. A billion dollars is a big number.”
