“This amendment again addresses the issue that we have been working with the gentleman from Virginia (Mr. Scott), the gentleman from Virginia (Mr. Wolf) and others on to ensure that workers are engaged in productive and constructive work activities. What this amendment does is it further expands the inmate work opportunities in conjunction with not-for-profit organizations. As I explained earlier today, the bill allows for some partnering, but what this does now is it expands the partnership capabilities and also provides funding for those activities to take place.”
