On May 25, 2011, I inadvertently cast a ``nay'' vote on the Murphy amendment #25 to H.R. 1540. I am very supportive of this amendment and Mr. Murphy's efforts to promote manufacturing and a national jobs agenda through our federal contracting procedures. I am pleased the amendment was adopted by the House. On May 26, 2011, I was absent and unable to vote on the PATRIOT Act. Had I been present; I would have voted ``nay.'' ____________________
