We need law in order. We need to backup our police. We need to black up our election workers.

What lessons have we learned coming out of January 6?

We need to act, we need to take this seriously. And yes, it’s a moment of reckoning what’s going on with the Republican Party in this country right now.

We are at a crisis moment in America. This is a sickness. With guns in the rhetoric, it is in our political dialogue, it is anti-democratic. And I am calling it out.

It’s been crickets. And it’s been a call to vigilante justice, which is unacceptable.

We cannot let threats of gun violence go unchecked.

The words matter. The words absolutely matter and it`s no longer acceptable.

Last month, just last month, the EPA sounded the alarm bell and asked its Science Advisory Board to review new analyses and data that suggest that two chemicals which have been found in many drinking water and surface waters in Michigan and around the country are far more toxic than previously thought.

This is such a risk aversion for us in our State. That is why we have Ms. Hendershott in the role that she is in, but this is also why we must rely on Federal responses for how we're going to tackle PFAS, and PFAS cleanup, and obviously prevention.
