“We now have the preliminary scanning of the amendments that have been passed by the Parliamentarian. We would be pleased to share that information with any Senator who has an amendment. The Senator from Louisiana does have the floor until someone is ready to offer an amendment or speak on the bill. We urge Members to come and start the process. We are prepared to handle amendments. On some amendments we will make a point of order as to germaneness, but we are trying to be as broad as possible in consideration of Members' amendments so we can finish late today, if possible.”
