when I spoke earlier this morning, I failed to make the comment that there are many provisions in the conference report that are beyond the scope of the original Defense appropriations bill and would be subject to rule XXVIII. For instance, the hurricane supplemental; we have $29 billion for hurricane victims, including funding for education expenses, housing, and reconstruction efforts. That was not in the bill as it came out of either House. We have the Gulf Coast Recovery Fund. This provides short and long-term funding for Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, and Florida. I am the best Democrat to go forward. I am the only person in this race who has won tough primaries multiple times. You know, running with the Michigan grit, resilience and determination.
