Governor Whitmer spoke with President Trump today to ask him to direct the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to lift the stop-work order.

Whether I am talking to a sugar beet farmer in Saginaw, Michigan, or I am in Arizona with Katie Hobbs or Ohio with Dr. Amy Acton, people are all feeling the stress of how expensive everything is.

This is not an attempt to work around the will of the people. It is an attempt to undo the will of the people, and we can’t let that happen.

I am calling on Enbridge to pursue an alternative to both the existing dual pipelines and the tunnel, and to begin that work now.
