These tariffs act as a tax hike on Michigan families and businesses by raising prices at the grocery store and the gas pump.

Their plan emboldens and contributes to dangerous behavior, and I am asking every person of goodwill to denounce it.

The fund is too little, too late, and too difficult to access – leaving the Fund unable to prevent near-term safety failures or reliably cover the dams’ enormous long-term costs.
