“Our country’s founders enshrined in that document the core idea that in the new nation they were creating, no one is above the law, everyone is equal under the law, and everyone is required to follow the law. But without you – attorneys, judges, and legal scholars – the rule of law is at risk of being just an idea, and the Constitution merely a piece of paper,” said Senator Peters.

My hope for this anniversary is that we all take the time to reflect on the long and complex history of this nation, which includes the stories of every single American.
Peters believes providing our servicemembers with competitive pay is essential to ensuring they can afford housing, groceries, childcare, and other everyday necessities while serving our nation in uniform.
We need workhorses in the Senate, and we need someone who can do that job from day one. This is not a place for on-the-job training.
Furthering our concern is the fact that this most recent set of delays is backdated to September 30, 2025, raising the question of whether the Department has further expanded the breadth and extent of its delays in the previous nine months.
