Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary is a critical tourism destination and an integral part of Michigan’s cultural landscape. So, I’m thrilled to be back in Alpena to get an update on the exciting work happening right here.

But one thing was clear then and remains true now: Michigan communities are tough and resilient.

We must invest in special places like this so that researchers and scientists at Thunder Bay can continue their conservation and research efforts.

There’s no better way to travel around Michigan than on a motorcycle, so I’m looking forward to riding across our beautiful state to meet with Michiganders and celebrate all that we’ve accomplished together.
