“When we look at the Medicare system and the inability to cover prescription drugs for our seniors, when we look at the explosion in the price of the prescription drugs, I would say it is very tough to find a system that is more broken than our inability today to provide low-cost prescription drugs, whether it be through Medicare or whether it be a small business or a farmer trying to get coverage for their family. This system is broken. That is why we are here. It needs to be fixed. I rise in opposition to the Hagel amendment.
