This much needed revision of section 110 seeks to ensure that the law enforcement objectives of the 1996 law are preserved without adversely impacting Michigan's strong tourism and Trade industry. Mr. Speaker, to those of us who always opposed the provisions of section 110 that would produce enormous backups at our borders, this bill represents a much needed and long awaited compromise.
