I commend the Senator from Texas on her bill of which I am very proud to be a cosponsor, to make sure our men and women in harm's way continue to receive their compensation and support for their families if, in fact, there is a government shutdown. I am certainly going to continue to do everything I can to keep that from happening. I am unwilling to give up, and I know others are as well. I commend the Senator, but I think this is very important. We need to send that message. We need to get this done and get the bill done.
