I know Senator Whitehouse is here and I have already spoken, but I wish to echo Senator Brown's strong appeal that we vote on the leveling the playing field amendment. It is critical. We have seen communities across Michigan as well as throughout the country that have been devastated. We not only lose good-paying jobs when a plant closes, but we lose small businesses from across the street, and it affects the whole community. This is an incredibly important amendment. I hope we will get a vote on it. I believe the votes are here to support that amendment on a bipartisan basis, and I think it is critical that we vote and adopt it. The PRESIDING OFFICER.
