“I applaud the work of the three committees that have brought this legislation to us... This is an extraordinary bill. It prevents individuals from employment discrimination. It would make it unlawful for employers, employment agencies, labor organizations or training programs to deny individuals the employment opportunities because of genetic information. It requires genetic information to be treated as a part of the individual's confidential medical record.”
