I thank the gentleman from Maryland for yielding. I rise in support of the gentleman's amendment. By requiring the EPA to develop a national risk communication strategy surrounding PFAS, the Federal Government will be better able to educate Americans and inform the public about the danger of PFAS chemicals. Experts believe that 99 percent of Americans have some level of PFAS in their blood, and most of them don't even know it. I thank the gentleman for his strong leadership in addressing the PFAS crisis head-on and thank him for offering this amendment. Incorporating this amendment will make the PFAS Action Act stronger and communicate the urgency to more people. I am proud to support this amendment and urge all of my colleagues to support it as well.
