“I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 134, line 25, before ``in an area'' insert ``or works''. Page 135, beginning on line 5, strike ``the date that is 3 months after such date.'' and insert the following: ``the date that is the earlier of-- ``(i) 6 months after the date on which the major disaster or emergency was declared; and ``(ii) the later of-- ``(I) 3 months after the date on which the major disaster or emergency was declared; and ``(II) the date that the Director of the Bureau, in consultation with the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, determines is the date on which substantially all provision of assistance by the Federal Emergency Management Agency under such major disaster or emergency declaration has concluded.''.
