There is a suggestion that we put in a limit of $250 on gifts, for instance, from personal friends. There is no such limit in my bill. So there is no need for that waiver from the Ethics Committee under my bill. However, there are a number of Members who feel there should be a limit of personal gifts, as under existing law, of $250, and that there then should be a waiver which is provided for by the Ethics Committee. That amendment has been proposed by a number of our colleagues, and I have no particular objection to it, if that is the will of the body.
