“I have had a lot of inquiries from constituencies about problems they have had and told me about experiences they have had with IRS. Just recently, I held a townhall meeting in Columbus, GA, where we invited in some of the constituency to talk about some of their personal experiences and also to have some input and ideas as to how they felt like the IRS could better handle their situation. Also, he mentioned the complexity of tax codes and how the complexity of the tax codes also is causing a lot of problems, not only for our constituency, but also for the Service itself that has to administer the collection of funds that we use to operate this Government.”
