I think it is interesting that at every single hearing we have had, no matter what the areas we are looking at, we find that agencies are not talking to one another or not sharing information or there is a lack of coordination.

Obviously, I'm disappointed in that decision, which turned abortion issues back to the states. It has not had an impact on the state of Maine.
But to be fair to the Department of Homeland Security, they couldn’t enter into contracts when the government was shut down by the Democrats.
I think what happened is too many of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol agents were sent out there without proper vetting and without proper training.
It appears that there is good faith on the Democratic side to try to pass the CR and avoid a government shutdown, which is always a disaster.
