“Mr. President, I urge all of our colleagues to vote yes on this bill, which will provide a crucial 2-month extension for the Paycheck Protection Program. This program has been a lifeline to countless small businesses and has saved more than 50 million jobs in this country. I salute my colleagues Senator Cardin and Senator Shaheen for their work on this extension, which was overwhelmingly passed by the House. Let's talk about briefly what would happen if we do not act.
