It needs reform, not to be abolished

I am pleased that these funds are being released to help Mainers afford to heat their homes this winter without having to choose between staying warm and paying for other basic necessities.

I believe that we should create a commission of independent financial experts to give us advice on what should be done.

It’s a critical program and the foundation of retirement income for most Mainers, and I’ve voted repeatedly to preserve it.
