Susan Collins: “I have always supported funding for the Homeless Assistance Grants program to prevent and end homelessness.”

I am pleased that these funds are being released to help Mainers afford to heat their homes this winter without having to choose between staying warm and paying for other basic necessities.

That is absolutely outrageous, and you owe me an apology.

After the Biddeford shooting, I called the Secretary of Homeland Security, [and] met with the acting director and suggested that they prioritize Maine for receipt of these body-worn cameras. And they did. And every ICE agent in the state…

It’s a critical program and the foundation of retirement income for most Mainers, and I’ve voted repeatedly to preserve it.
