I join with the Senator from Connecticut in encouraging those who are conferees on this bill and those who will be implementing the amendment if it is enacted to read and rely on the text of Senate Report 109-71. ____________________

I spoke with Mullin last night and asked him to halt all nonurgent vehicle stops by ICE.
The Administration must consider the negative impact tariffs would have on Maine businesses.
I think what happened is too many of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol agents were sent out there without proper vetting and without proper training.
It would be wise for DHS to have a halt in non-urgent traffic stops until we get this straightened out.
