Shenna Bellows: “The democracy that we thought we had has been deeply corrupted by those in power in Washington.”

Donald Trump’s attacks on our democracy are only accelerating, and the best way that I can serve our state and country at this moment is by focusing exclusively on my role as Secretary of State.

This is the first time ever that we have had to engage in scenario planning to safeguard against potential federal interference in elections.

The single idea from Graham Platner that spoke most deeply to me is that he's right, the democracy that we thought we had has been deeply corrupted by those in power in Washington, the billionaires and the massive corporations.

When I need to know the facts, I will. I’ll do my homework.
