The single idea from Graham Platner that spoke most deeply to me is that he's right, the democracy that we thought we had has been deeply corrupted by those in power in Washington, the billionaires and the massive corporations.

To be clear, we do not believe that the Constitution or federal law give the Postal Service or the Trump administration the right to restrict who votes by mail.

We see what the Postal Service is trying to do as direct interference in the 2026 election.

Donald Trump’s attacks on our democracy are only accelerating, and the best way that I can serve our state and country at this moment is by focusing exclusively on my role as Secretary of State.
