Thank you, Chairman Rockefeller. Welcome back and thank you for holding this very critical hearing today, Mr. Chairman, because obviously, we are all grappling with the devastating effects and the sad state of affairs when it comes to the domestic auto industry, its failures in past leadership that did not provide the requisite leadership, vision, ingenuity to transform the industry, and that ultimately has led us, as taxpayers to provide a massive infusion of more than $70 billion to Chrysler and General Motors.
