Stopping issue ad abuse is critical to meaningful campaign finance reform. But distinguishing candidate ads from issue ads based on ad content is the Supreme Court's approach in Buckley versus Valeo; it is an approach that the courts are now examining; and I am willing to defer to the courts at this point.
