one of the concerns that we have as a Committee is how you train VA employees to deal with it?

we are willing to work with the VA because I think the law is very clear in the first place that Congress passed is that VA will pay for full cost of nursing home care.

So you are concerned because it gives the VA greater flexibility?

I am sold on this whole community college sector like it is just the way to go.

I would also like to hear more from the witnesses today about how the plan is being implemented in the field, what issues remain, and what oversight is being conducted by Central Office.

have you found it, among the individuals that you talked to, that it is a problem that the caregiver is not part of the clinical assessment process?

When the caregiver is going through the process, do they participate in the clinical assessment at the start of the process?
