Mr. Speaker, this is much needed. It is something that should be done as soon as possible and we can begin implementing it immediately, so we can expand the confidence that flyers have in our aviation system. It is an important, integral majority of our economy; and the measures that are being put forward here are measures that are going to continue to build on that foundation that has been developed. I want to commend those who have been involved and also point out the particular references as they matter to airports in the State of Maine. We are very pleased in terms of the latitude and also the level of expertise that is going to be there at airports throughout Maine and Portland and Bangor and Presque Isle and feel this will greatly enhance security and the economy in Maine and the rest of the Nation.
