Jared Golden: “I would never vote for these Medicaid cuts. Never.”

Recent incidents of political violence have made me reassess the frequent threats against me and my family.

It’s about protecting the working-class communities those men and women support. In my district, lobster fishing is the backbone of towns up and down the coast.

There’s almost nothing about this bill that I’m going [to] have a hard time explaining to the district. This is a giant tax giveaway to wealthy people. Everyone fucking knows it.

Regardless of what angry partisan commentators may say, I retain the trust of the coalition of Democrats, independents and Republicans.
