What conceivable rationale is there for presenting this resolution today other than to get in a few more licks at the President when we know the meeting is going to be held tomorrow, following which we hopefully will have some idea of what the timing should be? The fact of the matter is we all know what the rationale is. It is to take a few more shots at the President, get up in the guise of wanting hearings, to slam the President and the administration, to score a few political points in this process. If anyone was serious about wanting to move in that direction, he should await the results of the meeting tomorrow because obviously those facts are central to the determination of when we are going to proceed.
