We confront the same situation with respect to the nomination of Rosemary Barkett to be U.S. Circuit Judge for the 11th Circuit. That is to say, we have been advised by our Republican colleagues that they will filibuster this nomination and will not agree to a vote on it, and therefore it is necessary to file a motion to invoke cloture to end the filibuster and to permit a vote to occur.
