I would strongly disagree with my colleague on the other side of the aisle. Those of us or those who have visited our great State know that we have a pristine natural environment. It is part of our brand, Mr. Chairman. It is something that we protect and will continue to protect at all costs. However, as a freshman legislator, I have been here for 6 months, and what I have learned in those 6 months is that we have almost a fourth branch of government, and that is these regulators that regulate every part of our life, whether we are trying to make paper or what have you and trying to provide work for our families. Mr. Chairman, I support this amendment, and I yield back the balance of my time. The Acting CHAIR. The question is on the amendment offered by the gentleman from Maine (Mr. Poliquin).
